Ben Kweller - Heart Attack Kid
The video for Ben Kweller - Heart Attack Kid is a psychedelic mixed-media piece featuring a clay rattlesnake searching for the source of Ben Kweller’s sick tunes floating on the breeze. The snake is helped out by a friendly fish, before having its mind blown by an epic guitar solo.
I made about ten clay snakes while my pal Joe Astle did all the illustration. Ben Kweller filmed the live action elements on his ranch in Texas and I put it all together in London.
This was a nice opportunity to do something new- I’d never worked with clay before but realised it was the key to making my 90s Nickelodeon dreams come true.
