Gorillaz - Humility (Superorganism Remix)
The video for Gorillaz - Humility (Superorganism Remix) is a remix of the Humility video itself, where we got to insert our lead singer Orono into Venice Beach alongside 2-D, Murdoc, Ace, and Noodle. Orono skates around with 2-D and tries to get Jack Black’s attention, before finally getting arrested by a prawn cop and sent to a pixel prison.
This was such a surreal thing to be allowed to do. I’ve been a huge Gorillaz fan since their inception, and Blinkink had been working on their music videos for the Humanz album. I met with Gorillaz management and assured them I wouldn’t do anything stupid, then we filmed Orono on roller skates in front of a green screen at the YouTube studios in King’s Cross and inserted her into the Humility video- kind of like the return to the ‘50s scenes in Back to the Future 2.
