Nvdes - GREEN

NVDES - GREEN

The video for Nvdes - Green is a mixed-media fantasy about what the Earth could be like by the year 2120 if we make all the right decisions on climate change. Josh from Nvdes wanted something that showed climate change problems and climate change solutions, and I came up with the idea of portraying a naively hopefully vision of the future just as we were going into lockdown in the UK and things were feeling really dire.

We see an anthropomorphic cartoon Earth move through time from the year 2020 through to the year 2120, where guest rapper Nilo performs from his futuristic solar powered treehouse. Throughout the video we cut back in time to see the world being overtaken by pollution before climate change solutions lead to the leafy green world of the future.

The video is heavy on 2D animation in a vibrant 90s style (we talked a lot about Captain Planet) with elements of mixed-media collage and found footage, as well as green screen footage of Nilo.
