POPWORKS - Sweet BBQ
This is the launch film for some crisps that are… pretty delicious. I ate way too many of them early on in the production and while very moreish, you shouldn’t eat like two sharing packs in a row.
The idea for this was for it to be Pop Art influenced… I wanted to make it a totally Andy Warhol thing with painterly textures and that classic Andy Warhol slightly muddy colour palette… but you know it was a mutual decision to go for a more brand colours approach.
For me, this is all about the transitions and the way the camera kind of moves through like a rollercoaster. There were some intense real camera moves featuring a huge turntable system that broke down halfway through production. It was all worth it.
